Ben Shelley: Analyzing the Adin Hill trade

I'm with you....I think that a 2nd was way too much for this trade, especially since they didn't want to lose Hill. I would have been okay with a 3rd or a 4th. This also has a negative impact on how you could potentially offer sheet someone that would benefit the entire organization in numerous ways.

I think the price was fair for Hill, but I'd rather the Sharks held onto their 2nd... Not sure how much $/Term some of the UFAs (Dreiger, Ulmark (sp?) etc...) would have cost us, but a 2nd is a bit steep for the Sharks given their current situation.
